Directions from Airport to the IES Center

Take airport bus to Schwedenplatz
Take U1 line towards Reumannplatz for one stop to Stephansplatz
Follow signs to the Karntnerstrasse exit

From Stephansplatz walk down Karntnerstrasse 3 blocks
until you come to Johannesgasse on the left.
(Look for the McDonald's sign)
The IES Center is one-third of the way down the block on the left at No. 7.
Buzzer: "institut fur Europaische Studien"

When in doubt, take a taxi to:
1st Bezirk/District, Johannesgasse 7.

Schwedenplatz: ("Sweden Square")
Station opened in 1901, completely rebuilt and re-opened in 1978.
Square named thus to thank the Swedes for humanitarian aid
granted to Austria between 1919 and 1922.
